About Us

Dharmakaya Buddhist Center is part of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), an international family of city and retreat centers, monasteries, publishing houses, hospices, and healing centers with a common purpose to provide an integral educational experience through which minds and hearts can be transformed into their highest potential for the benefit of all beings.

Our vision is to empower individuals to discover lasting joy and inner peace through the wisdom of authentic Tibetan Buddhism. We merge innovative technology to bridge ancient cultures to make these transformative teachings accessible to all.

The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) is an international organization founded in 1975. FPMT is grounded in the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, the spiritual tradition of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Foundation is devoted to the transmission of the Mahayana Buddhist values worldwide through education, meditation, and community service.

The organization is based on the tradition of Buddhist Master Lama Tsong Khapa of Tibet, as taught by founder Lama Thubten Yeshe and our spiritual director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
